Detailed itinerary:

Take flight/train to Zhangjiajie.

On arrival, receive a warm greeting from your local tour guide and driver.

Be sent to the hotel, check in first.

If time permits you can walk leisurely on Xibu Old Street. It is a pedestrian with Tujia minority culture. There are local snacks, souvenir, bars and barbecue booths.

Get ready for the following adventure!

DAY2

In the morning, your private guide and driver will pick you up at hotel. Your Avatar tour begins! Firstly you will be taken to Wulingyuan Scenic Area, where Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located.

Taking the cable car up to Tianzi Mountain, you will see different shapes of peaks towering up. What a fantastic view!

Have simple lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, ride the shuttle bus to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where the mountains are said to be the inspiration for Hallelujah Mountain in the movie Avatar. Walk on the trail to enjoy the magnificent scenery, and then get down the mountain by Bailong Elevator. Built on the side of a cliff, this sightseeing lift, with glass covered, claims to be the world's highest of its kind and gives you an amazing experience in only 2 minutes from top to bottom.

After sightseeing, have dinner and then be transferred to hotel for rest.

After breakfast, you will be sent to Tianmen Mountain, the highest mountain in Yongding District of Zhangjiajie. Tianmen, literally "Doorway to Heaven", is a 30-meter-high hole formed naturally in Tianmen Mountain like a gate. The peak of Tianmen Mountain is relatively flat, with intact primary sub-forest and many precious and unique plant species, covering 90% of the mountains. Meanwhile, the ancient trees are towering, the vines twine, stone peaks are everywhere, Tianmen Mountain has been known as the world's most beautiful "Garden in the Sky" like a fairyland. You will experience world's longest cable car which takes about 30 minutes from downtown Zhangjiajie to Tianmen Mountain's top, and body rocking on the "99 Bends" mountain road, walk on the glass road built 1,430 meters above the ground, or if you want to reach Tianmen Cave, you can climb up the "Stairway to Heaven".

After the trip, it's time to say goodbye to Zhangjiajie with sweet memory. You will be dropped off at Zhangjiajie Hehua (Lotus) Airport or Zhangjiajie Train Station.
